A rutilated quartz cabochon set into a slim knotted macramé collar, edged in brass beadwork.

Rutilated quartz is clear stone shot through with fine golden needles — mineral threads caught mid-growth. Every stone has its own pattern.

Those needles are sometimes called Venus hair. The stone is traditionally worn for clarity, illumination, and cutting through confusion.

Materials: natural rutilated quartz, brass, waxed macramé thread.

Materials note: the metal beadwork is a brass and white metal alloy — not sterling silver or fine gold — with a naturally warm, aged patina characteristic of our handmade pieces.
